Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.
This week is the last full week of classes. How crazy is that? Once the weather starts to get nice I always feel like I start to slack with my work. Luckily it didn't really start to get nice until later this year, but still. I have a lot to do before summer starts. Even when I do try to do work, I watch soap operas or something like that. haha, I think I'm actually starting to get addicted. It's so easy to figure out what's going on, and people are dating so and so, but before that girl dated his brother and this other ladie's pissed about it, or there's a hostage situation. hahaha, I just think they're so funny. Now I'm watching a baby show called Deliver Me. Really doesn't make me want to have kids... ever. But one woman's 38 and wants to save her eggs, so she went to a doctor... and the doctor she went to see was her ex. Call me old-fashioned, but I think it'd be extremely awkward to have your ex harvest your eggs, but whatever.
In other news, there was a spider in the apartment last week! And not just in the apartment... in Kay's room! I feel like such a mean person to wish for a bug, just to see my roommate scream. But boy did she scream! She was seriously cowering in her closet, hiding behind the closet door and screaming to kill the spider. And she claims it was a "mini tarantula." Which by the way, it was a teeny-tiny spider (small enough for her to think it was a fly from a distance). Oh man, it was funny.
Kay, if you just read this, go update your journal.
If you're not Kay, go tell Kay she needs to update her journal.

Do you like hearing mice when you sleep?
I went to visit Justin this weekend. His family owns this "farm" about 2 hours away from his house, and I think he said it's 5 acres, and we had to cut the grass. So I got to sit on the tractor and mow. Oh, and there was a dead deer carcus in one part of the grass. It was just bones, and I guess it was being dragged around earlier over the field, because there was fur everywhere. It was kind of gross. And then I almost ran over a leg... and I know I ran over the jaw bone on accident. Yeah...

Oh, and then when we went to make the bed (mind you, it's a very cute little place, but obviously no one lives there, so lots of dust and stuff...), and there was mouse poop on the bed. So my manly man just cleans it off and calls it a day. My hero. Psh... so during the night I hear this rustling in the plastic bags, and I think it's Justin trying to get into the doughnuts or something he bought. But nope, he was asleep. And of course he can't hear a darn thing, because he just can't hear anything. So I bug Justin and tell him there's a mouse messing with the stuff. And his response, "I don't hear it, so just go back to sleep." I swear... I kept hearing loud rustling, so I bothered him again to do something, and he said, "I'm tired..." And he proceeded to pound on the wall. If someone ever robs/tries to kill us in the middle of the night, I'm going to have to do all the work, because he's going to be too tired. haha, it's a good thing I'm not freaked out by mice or anything... otherwise he would've had a shreaking girl next to him. hahaha, I can only imagine Kay in that situation. I really hope there's a spider or some bug in the apartment in the next few weeks, so I can see her reaction. It's just something that I need to experience to make my life complete.
Also, we saw a cross-dresser at an Applebee's.
In other news, I can't believe it's been a year. I don't really know how to feel about it. It all kind of snuck up on me. It's a sad month... Next week then is the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The United States doesn't really officially recognize it, which is awful, considering it was the first genocide of the 20th century, and it was one of the reasons Hitler got the idea for the Holocaust. All because of precious relations with Turkey.

beer pong, Sally's Salon, drug deals, oh my!
So looking back on this weekend, for the amount of sitting around I did, it was pretty eventful.
Friday was the Relay for Life beer pong tournament, and it actually went much better than planned! (Except for Nick getting punched in the face all because of a bunch of assholes trying to steal beer... from a cancer research fundraiser...)
I must say, though, the walk back to the car with Kay was probably the funniest experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone.
But the super exciting part of the night happened in the parking lot of our apartment! At about 2 in the morning, a huge fight broke out in the parking lot, and of course, we had to watch. It was pretty bad... people trying to stop the fight were getting punched, and there was kicking... and yeah. Then we heard sirens... and all of a sudden a cop car is here! The guys book it out of there, and the cop gets out of his car with a flashlight. haha, at this point we're really into it, and are kind of mad he didn't run after them, but whatever. He looked for a bit and went back to the car and left. A few guys came back out, and they went back into the apartment. And then the cop is back, shining the flashlight into the apartment windows... including ours! So yeah, we're thinking they were there for something more than just the fight... dun dun DUN! What excitement! Screw the TV... we can watch good ol' trash right outside of our own windows!
Well, I guess other than that I've been playing Sally's Salon and reading bio. Yeah... I'm real cool.

I'm entering the blog world...
Even though I'm not graduating like everyone else who is currently making blogs, Rose peer pressured me into making one. :) Who knows, maybe I'll be able to keep up with this thing... maybe even starting now!
