Ok, so it's been forever since I've updated, and I apologize. I've just been lazy. But I'm home (or really just my place of residence, since I pretty much love Blacksburg and consider that my home now... ) for the summer. I always find it weird to come back, because my parents change the house so much. We got a super huge (46 inch, LCD, HD) tv in the living room, and since I left Whipple watching tv on a little 12 inch tv, this thing is pretty much HUGE (that's what she said!)
Side note:
We were mulching the other weekend...
(My dad had just dumped a wheelbarrow full of mulch by my mom.)
Mom: Wow, that was a wet load.
Dad: That's what she said!

And then tonight we went to a Mexican restaurant...
Waitress: Would you like a hard or soft shell?
Mom: Soft.
Dad: You're supposed to say hard so you can say that's what she said! It doesn't really work with the other one.

So anyway, I started work on the 19th. I had orientation in Monroeville, which is where I worked last summer. It takes me over an hour to get there... and it's not a fun drive (twisty, turny back roads, because rush-hour through Pittsburgh is no fun). So I go through orientation and all the intern's bosses are supposed to come down and pick them up. I didn't see my boss, so I told the lady leading orientation that I worked there the summer before and knew where I was going. I went up to the floor I worked on last summer, and it's completely empty. There is literally no one up there. There are some garbage cans, but yeah, everyone had moved. So I'm just like shit... where do I go?! I went back downstairs and asked the lady if she knew where Larry Erin (my boss) is. She was like, "Oh yeah, he moved up to Cranberry." (Cranberry is where Westinghouse is moving to, and the division I'm working in went up early, and Larry just never told me... haha) So luckily Whitney (EE at VT with me, who's in a lot of my classes) was there and had to go to Cranberry, otherwise I would have had no idea how to get there. But now I work in Cranberry, and my drive is only 45 minutes now on the interstate even! So it's much better than last summer!

Anyway for the next week or so, I had nothing to do... literally. Everyone told me they had nothing to give me. I was reading my orientation papers I was so bored. I did go to a lot of meetings, which I rather enjoy. Some meetings are exciting, because I always think people are going to break out into a fight. The past few days I've had some work, but still... I just finish everything too quickly, and then I'm left with nothing. The Cranberry building also has new cubes! They're the shorter ones, and they're just designed differently with different shelves and stuff, plus a lot more windows in the office. haha, one guy said, "Ergonimically, this is the best desk I've ever been in. There's plenty of room for my arms!" hahaha, I love working with engineers sometimes! :) I wish I had brought my bobbleheads home from school, though. I could've been like Dwight with all my bobbleheads at my desk!

Besides work I haven't really done anything else. I went to Justin's, and we went to Six Flags, which was fun! I still think Cedar Point is my favorite, though... especially since they have a ton more coasters than anywhere else.

So you'd think after a month of not updating I'd have more to say... but I really don't. All I do is go to work, come home, eat, watch some TV, go to bed. It's not an exciting life.

Also, I miss Whipple and my roommates. :( Kay and I talk just about everyday, and all we do is bitch about Hillary. I love it. :) It's just not the same over IM... although that's probably what we would be doing in the apartment, but it's just better knowing there's a thin wall between us. hahaha. I hope they all get their dream jobs/dream schools soon. They're all wonderful and so talented, these places just don't know what they're missing out on.

So the Penguins lost tonight, which is disappointing. I wish everyone would get off of Malkin's back. I think there's something seriously wrong with him... like he just can't see the puck or something, because he was so good the rest of the season. I don't know what's going on. They're all so young (Crosby is 20, Malkin is 21, Staal is 19, and Fleury's 23, just to name a few), and it's really cool they're going for the Stanley Cup. Detroit's the much better team. It's so obvious, but whatever. The loss will make Crosby, Fleury, Malkin, and all the other younger players better in the end, I think. Who knows, maybe the Penguins will pull an upset. We can only hope...
